Lean & clean

The pipe department at the Van der Giessen de Noord shipyard was being already inspired 25 years ago by the principles of Lean Manufacturing (LM) and Just-in-Time delivery (JIT). This product philosophy, which originated in Japan, all has to do with an efficient way of working and reducing waste.  A great deal has been invested in improving the logistics and manufacturing methods; we continue to pay strict attention to this by monitoring our operating processes.
